Walt Disney Imagineering Internship
2017-2018

As Marco left UCLA, he was able to put his skills in dramaturgy and text analysis immediately to the test through an opportunity with Disney Imagineering to develop new experiences for the Disney brand. Moreover, he learned from top Disney executives how to craft pitches, workshop ideas, lead presentations, manage production teams, and oversee budgets effectively.
Marco's work exposed him to the creative processes of Imagineers Chris Beatty and David Durham. Much of Marco's training was centered around the work being done for the Star Wars Land Project at Disneyland, CA. Additionally, Marco was placed in charge of developing A-Ticket level attractions to populate the empty lot near the Disneyland Hotel. His creative team curated an exciting repertoire of "Around the World" food trucks that celebrated the iconic SoCal food truck scene whilst providing visitors with a fresh experience of the Downtown Disney District.
Marco's time at Disney fostered a love for developing and producing media. He was drawn to the chance to combine his technical abilities with a creative, driven, self-starter, attitude.

Marco's participation in the Downtown Disney Food Truck Project was his first professional experience leading a creative team in the development of physical and digital deliverables.
